Mia is a 3 months kitten. She learns really fast so I took a moment to make a precious video. These 3 tricks are easy to teach. It took me about a week to teach her how to sit, to stand up and to do an high five. Enjoy
***UPDATE***
Your cat has to understand that there’s a game to be played to have the candy. You have to show it that you want to play. Take a candy over its head and say “up”. Instinctively, the cat will try to reach it with its paw. Don’t give the candy for the moment. You have to wait ’till it does what you want, in this case: to stand up. Within a few days, the cat will know that it needs to stand up. For the “high five” trick, in a few lines, you have to demonstrate that ur palm is the GOAL if ur cat wants the candy. Be sure there’s approx. 12 inches between you and your kitten and present ur palm. Take a candy with the other hand. Your kitten should look at the candy, so present ur palm a little closer, if you’re lucky as I am, your cat will touch ur palm with a paw to keep the candy in sight or just to play with, anyway, the goal is to touch ur palm. So be it, give the candy and a lil’ bit of love
. Practice with your cat again and again. One day, your cat will get that it needs to simply touch your hand to have the reward. Don’t forget the candy is a reward. Your cat will have to work for it! Be patient. With love and time, cats can learn fast. Good luck!
