is this normal for cat adopting?

i got a forwarded email to adopt 2 cats (kittens) the email stated that they were neutered, had their shots and were tested negative for feline aids and also were litter trained. so i was interested to adopt them and called the number but after an interview and filling out an application, i find out they cost 100 dollars each (to pay for their vet expenses, neutering, shots, etc.) i understand that they would need this but i feel led on and think that i should have been told this (the "adoption fee") to begin with. i feel led on…is this normal practice for adopting stray cats?
so total 200.00 to adopt these cats!
and i did meet the cats and they look healthy and fixed but still it just seemed weird that she didn’t mention the cost upfront.

Yes, it’s normal. Most people do not tell you the price until they’ve lured you in. That’s how they get you sucked into buying the kittens. It’s a fairly good price, some kittens cost up to 400$. I’d get them if you truly wanted to. Just keep in mind that you will have to change they’re litterbox at least twice a day. I would reccomend a litterbox for each cat, plus one. Also, it’s better to stick to the brand of cat food they’re used to until they grow up. Then you can change the brand, but I’d stick to one brand, such as Purina Cat Food.

I loved getting my kitten! They’re much easier to take of then puppies, and they’re cuddly, cute, and are the best!

I hope this helped! Good Luck! :D
